I want to join because when I first joined in Feburary 2007 things were mature and regular. It was a blast for me cuz I loved club penguin it was what I did when i had free time. Then in late august things went downhill. The sports shop revnovation, game upgrades like boogie boards, and nothing for non members. It devastated me for ballistic biscuit turning into hydro hopper. Plus I loved the way the sports shop was. It was made so we can have two gift shops. Plus the wigs made it even worse. So did the boring pumpkin basket and scarf. And kiddish partys, items, and the penguin times looks like it was written by a Seven year old! WHAT THE HECK! The christmas party sucked too it wasnt as good as 2006. Then what made me super mad was the fact that disney introduced members only spots for partys like the backstage at the music party! and meeting G at the scientist lab was for members only as well. The glitches were so fun I miss em. Plus the items get really ugly and boring as the months go by. The worst part is that ninjas arnt a secret anymore. They are more like boring especialy since non members cant get the ninja suit. I mean if you are a ninja you get to hide in the shadows right? Plus the sensei in the newspaper? NO NO NO!!!! Club Penguin rocked. It rocked alot. But thanks to Disney many glory day players are starting to quit. I might quit if Disney keeps this up.

I joined August 9, 2007. To me, it was New Year’s when it really started.

I totally agree. The first wigs were ok (I liked the afro, my friend used to dress my penguin like a hippie. Back in the days.) They brought the basket back again. The scarf was fine. The Penguin Times really does. Aunt Arctic columns always leave you more confused than the asker.

I agree, I was luckily a member, but its annoying because they don’t care about nonmembers. At all. It ticks me off that they’re usually really likeable, unlike how Club Penguin makes them out to be. It’s like, “BUY A MEMBERSHIP OR WE’LL NEVER TREAT YOU FAIRLY” I know, strange, but true. If you joined in ‘07, then you already have the items that they’ll give out.

I know, ninjas were supposed to be mysterious. Of course it’s Disney that lets the cat out of the bag, if you know what I mean. It’s unfair that only members get the ninja suit. If you worked hard to be a ninja, (you didn’t hack your way up,) you deserve the same thing members get.

You totally read my mind. I remember the glory days. I remember all my buddies on Club Penguin, where they’re not now. I quit around August, and came back.
Corvette, you don’t need to be sorry. I have strong emotions about Disney also, and mostly, about everyone on this site does too. It was upsetting when I logged back on and CP totally changed. There were couples everywhere, and six year olds populated Klondike.

Why I want to join is because clubpenguin was a brilliant game, I’m talking history writing there, and then we get word about Disney buying them. We were all like “This will be good! Disney have a lot of money!” But then we log on for the first party, and bang, Disney show their true colours. I wish clubpenguin would go back to the old days, where clubpenguin made new items everytime, and the parties ROCKED!! Now, we’re lucky if we get a free item. To be honest, if I could have just ONE day of the old clubpenguin back, I’d give anything for it.
And I am still a member because I have a cheat site and must look good.

I am currently a nonmember, but I was a member a short time ago. Then I realized I was just encouraging Disney, so canceled my membership.
I want to join because ever since Disney bought Club Penguin, everything has gone downhill. All the parties are boring and repeats from last year, and so are the free items. The only new things at parties are the member’s rooms. Nonmembers cant have fun at all! When I heard about the ninjas coming out, I thought they were going to be awesome, with an actually SECRET hideout, and missions, and more general mysteriousness. But it turns out it was only ANOTHER one of Disney’s schemes to get more money. All it is is a stupid game of rock-paper-scissors with trading cards. In the newspaper, Sensei said that if you bought the trading cards, “your path would be much shorter”. But all it does is give you new pictures and animations. RIP OFF!!!!!
Now, the members clearly have a much greater advantage on games like sled racing and “hydro hopper”. They also get cool tracks and a multiplayer mode on the dancing game. (which, by the way, is a copy of Dance Dance Revolution) They get cool rooms and items at parties, and we get nothing. THE UNFAIRNESS MUST STOP!!!!!

My penguin name is Zehri. I am currently a nonmember, but I was a member a few months ago. I want to join because I think that Disney has ruined Club Penguin. Plus, when I was a member, the parties and stuff were boring (sometimes they were kind of fun). I do not think this is fair.
They repeat parties and free items that make club penguin Boring! And when they do make new items, they are ridiculous! They don’t even look good! This is just too bad.

Why you want to join: I want to join because i have always thought that disney made club penguin stupid. It used to have cool music, rare items, and WAY cooler partys! Disney took away EVERYTHING cool from club penguin, and i’m happy somebodys finally doing something about it

So I was on Neopets, or whatever. My sister came home and told me about clubpenguin. This was around early 2006. I was so excited and a quickly made my account. Then I found the first pin! The awesome clover pin! So I missed the red lei and beta stuff. Soon after I BEGGED my family to make me a member. So for a very long time I was so happy and I was so joyful.Soon when Disney first joined instead of buying cp so I didnt care much. Then when they lied and cp was bought (I call it the darkness day in cp history) by disney I fell apart. First, the site changed. I wanted to rip Disney’s head off. Then, they slowly change the blog so its not freedom of speech. Old cp freedom IS BLOCKED! Then, you saw how the penguin design changed. THE FEET R BIGGER THEN THE HEAD! Not like the old cp sharp lines that made it real cool. Now so many noobs and babies come and think there so cool! Then soon after theirs ugly gay signs of wig wearers needed! I swear I felt SICK! Then my heart lurched when the characters, Rooms, Parties, Blog, pins, newspaper, penguins, filters, noobs, babies, and clothes changed clubpenguin for the worse. Now im up to date with the pathetic excuse for cp. They even made parent controls, PLUS made the age group lower! I was right. I told my friend it was going to get worse. It seems to be slowly stopping a little bit but not much to SAVE clubpenguin. HANNAH MONTANNA IN CP? Ewwww. Then people start ACTING like her! Then the stupid vampires, they even wear wigs (I admit sometimes I really like to pretend to be a zombie and scare noobs) and its just sickening. So thats why in early 2009 I made rsnails.
